Definition of press investigation: The art of investigative journalism is essentially based on the social interpretation of the events and the psychological interpretation of the people involved in these events. Journalistic investigation is an independent and distinguished news media that is used to study a segment of reality (an important event, a distinct reality, a specific development, a particular phenomenon, a problem ...). is distinguished from other journalistic arts as a journalistic art that
belongs more to the editor before he belongs to the continental. The editor
creates the issue or the problem from the reality of his observations. He
follows up on what is published in the media and then conducts many interviews
and research. On the unknown facts and openly grouped them with a view to finding
solutions to these issues or problems. 2) Journalistic investigations usually
occupy a large area and take a long time to prepare and collect their material,
and it takes a lot of time to write them. 3) Investigations usually include
special treatment that makes the investigation material particularly attractive
and interesting. 4) is not written for the purpose of a factual report but
motivated by the need for a change that should occur and reforms to which the
hand of reform should be extended. 5) Investigations are based on the most
experienced editors and journalists, as they are among the most difficult types
of journalistic writing. 6) Journalistic investigations often require financial
resources and time-consuming work by those who do them because they are viewed
as more important than routine journalistic work. Jobs Investigative Press: The

guidance 4- Entertainment and entertainment 5- Advertising 6. Contribute to the
formation and mobilization of public opinion in order to raise awareness of the
problems of society and participate in development plans
There are several types of investigative
journalism, some of them related to the general form of the investigation, and
others related to the goal sought by the newspaper to achieve in a specific
area through the investigation of the press, and the following are the most
important of these types: I. Types of investigative journalism in terms of
form: (6) (1) long press investigation (detailed): the word is the basis, while
the material shown (pictures - illustrations - illustrations) as an assistant.
In other words, the written word is the basis and the picture material follows.
In this type of investigation, the editor makes every effort to meet the
sources and read the documents and use all viewpoints and views in favor of the
editor's perspective through live interviews with various sources relevant to
the subject of investigation in addition to the use of other non-living sources
such as documents, bulletins, data, studies, The subject is useful in the
treatment process. (2) Short press investigation: It is similar to the long
press investigation in relying on the word basically, but it is less in length
than Prolonged investigative investigation (detailed). (3) Journalistic
investigative photographer: A press investigation which depends on the
presentation of the subject on the material picture, especially the photograph
and comes the word or the text in the second place after the image as an
assistant, that is the picture here is the basis and then comes the word. This
kind of investigative journalism depends on the image for its functions and
media and communication goals as quickly and easily as possible. Second: Types
of investigative journalism in terms of the objective of conducting a press
investigation (7) 1) Achieving the background: An investigation that aims at
explaining and analyzing events and revealing their dimensions and
implications. It is an investigation that looks first and foremost at what is
behind the news. 2) Inquiry or Inquiry: An investigation that captures a matter
of public interest and collects all the details related to it and presents it
to readers and sheds light on all dimensions and aspects. 3) Investigation or
verification: an investigation aimed at uncovering what no one knows, such as
detecting deviations, misappropriations or exploiting influence. This type of
investigative investigation is therefore similar to the police investigation
into the detection of a major crime. 4) Achieving Prediction: An investigation
aimed at helping the reader not only in
Find out how this event occurred or what
happened in this case, but is intended to help the reader to know what may
result from the event or event in the future, and where things will end in this
issue or problem. 5) Achievement of entertainment (escape): An investigation
that aims to help and meet the need of the reader to entertainment and
enjoyment away from the problems of the day. Dr. Mahmoud Adham provides other
types of investigative journalism according to the objective of the
investigation as follows: (8) 1) Public Investigative Investigation: This is an
investigation prepared by the editor of the press investigation, ie one of the
members of the Investigations Section of the newspaper. It is divided into
several types, A general investigation is interesting: an investigation whose
thrill is the most prominent features and basic in it is aimed at education and
entertainment and high intellectual enjoyment, and it is OK to put a number of
issues and human images, but in the same interesting way which also aims to
eliminate the boredom of the reader. B - The realization of problems: An
investigation published by the newspapers to confirm their role in detecting
defects and gaps and searching for aspects of the looting of people suffer from
problems in their normal daily life. This is what some call a guideline or
guideline because it addresses problems and looks for solutions. C - The
investigation of trips: An investigation conducted by an editor to provide the
images of people and life and colors and aspects of positive and negative in a
country or a country other than the state issued by the journalist and its
purpose to identify nations and peoples and print and ethics and customs and
traditions D - Investigation of personal study: It differs from the interview of
personal in terms of Being deeper and more comprehensive. It deals with the
most important and important aspects in the story and life of personal
personalities, as well as to relatives and friends and acquaintances and
students, and to study, books, authors and the most important views and
positions. E - Occurrence of events: an investigation which is associated with
a particular religious occasion or National, scientific, literary, or specific
season, so it is also called seasonal investigation. In order for this kind of
investigation to succeed, the editor must work his mind to choose the new angle
that makes these themes, which are often repetitive and sequential, interesting
and attractive. 2- Special investigative journalism: It is a color of the specialized
journalistic press production and directed to the general reader and specialist
in the case of publication in newspapers and public magazines, although there
has been a specialist reader on such kind of investigative journalism. The
stages of preparing the investigative report These stages and steps that are
similar to scientific research steps can be summarized as follows: First, to
determine the objective that the investigation seeks to achieve, taking into
account the importance of this target to the public and the extent to which it
is consistent with the objective that the newspaper seeks to achieve in a
specific area. Second: To determine the appropriate idea for the subject of the
investigation and to clarify it clearly. And the importance of this step there
are several considerations must be taken into account the choice of the idea of
investigative journalism, and these considerations are: 1) to be closely
related to the interests of the reader as the reader becomes more aware of the
importance of the subject whenever he felt the loyalty of the journalist when
choosing the idea and turn it into a journalist. 2) Be new and attentive and
able to attract the attention of the reader. 3) be inspired by current events
or related to issues of concern to the community. 4) to be based on a real
problem, considering that the investigative journalism is based on a problem
picked up by the journalist from the center in which he lives. Third: Planning:
This step includes the following: (11) 1) Choose the appropriate time to
prepare and publish the investigation in order to ensure that the attention of
the reader is attracted. 2) The exploratory study aimed at understanding the
subject and its knowledge of its historical roots and what has been previously written
or reported by human sources and non-living sources, newspapers, periodicals,
books, documents, official publications and research reports. 3) Define the
aspects of the subject and the angles of its treatment and determine the places
and areas to be covered by the investigation, which necessarily require the
investigator to visit and inspect. 4) Preliminary study of the living sources
to be contacted by officials Experts and specialists to obtain their views,
opinions and information on the idea or isue of the investigative report.
Fourth: Collecting the preliminary material for
the investigation: This step includes the collection of information and
background related to the subject through reading and reading about what has
been published about the idea or subject, whether from archives or books or
other non-living sources that the researcher has already studied and determined
to stand up to the historical evolution of the subject and access to basic data
Which benefit in the study of the subject of various dimensions and angles may
resort to the journalist to contact his colleagues journalists who have already
addressed some aspects of the subject. The importance of this step stems from
the fact that it enables the press editor to prepare questions covering various
points, aspects and angles of the topic. Fifth: Implementation of the
investigation: This step includes the editor's collection of information,
facts, facts and opinions from the relevant sources of the subject of the
investigation, which have already been identified through the preliminary study
of these sources. This information is obtained through interviews and
interviews with these sources of experts, specialists, officials and
individuals affected by the investigation - This step also involves gathering
information relevant to the subject of investigation from other non-living
sources such as press clippings, research, official publications, documents,
reports and books. - After collecting this information from different sources,
the editor is required to review and evaluate the information and facts
obtained regarding the subject of the investigation, and make sure that it is
sufficient to clarify the different aspects of the issue and cover all the
points and dimensions of the subject and answer the basic questions: How? And
why? , If the editor discovered a lack of information and opinions, he
completes the press investigation, even if it is necessary to re-contact some
sources to fill the deficiencies or shortcomings or demystification or verify
the truth of some information and statements. This step ends with the need for
the press editor to study, examine, understand, analyze and classify the
information and opinions as the basis on which the investigation structure is
based. This will help the editor reach solutions or proposed solutions to solve
the problem or issue. Formulation of the press investigation Before the editor
begins to formulate the collected information, facts and opinions from
different sources in the form of a press investigation, it is important. To
prepare the article for drafting by: (12) 1. Sort the material obtained to
distinguish between good and bad. 2. The exclusion of secondary or
non-essential material or that is not the subject matter. 3. Develop a plan
that includes elements of the formulation of the subject in order of
importance. 4. Categorizing the journalistic material for each section under
its component. 5. Gather the views of different sources that revolve around one
point with each other. In the light of these steps, the editor will formulate a
press investigation based on title, introduction, body and finally the
conclusion. Investigation addresses Headlines, especially major ones, are an
important part of the investigation because they play a key role in arousing
the attention of the reader and attracting his attention. Therefore, the
newspaper must put appropriate addresses for the subject of the investigation
and consistent with the personality and character of the journalist and able to
give a quick and concise idea of the most prominent in the content and also
able to attract the reader and push him to read the press investigation. The
most prominent types of addresses used in the investigative report can be
identified as follows: 1 - direct news address (DAL): which is a title which
shows a clear indication of the content of the investigation in one condensed
and concentrated summary. 2 - Selective Address: This is the title that works
on the selection or selection of a particular side, position or idea
characterized by gravity, lightness or importance and put it in the title 3.
The explanatory address: the address that covers the subject of the
investigation in general, clear and frank. 4 - Descriptive title: It is the
title that tends to simplify, identify and embody the event. 5 - The quotation
title: It is a sentence or statement or quote quoted from the words of one of
the personalities of the source of the investigative report. 6 - Address

of the different aspects of the subject of investigation. Introduction to the
investigation It is the gateway to the main subject, as well as the
intellectual and visual link between the main headlines of the investigation
and the body of the investigation. The introduction of the investigation plays
a big role in arousing the interest of the reader and urging him to read the
full text of t
the investigation. Therefore, most researchers
in the art of investigative journalism agreed that it should contain the most
important aspects of the investigation and be interesting and attractive so as
to attract the reader and attract attention. The information provided
congestion that distracts the reader's mind
Types of introductions There are many types of
introductions that are used in press investigations, but it is possible to
refer to the most prominent types of introductions as follows: 1 - Summary
Introduction: It is the introduction, which aims mainly to provide a summary
This is the easiest kind of introductions, but it can have a negative result is
that the reader only read the introduction without reading the details in the
body of the investigation. 2 - The introduction of the quote: the introduction
containing the text of a statement or sentence Or an important quote for one of
the sources and became the most important points of the subject, which requires
the editor to publish its text at the beginning of the investigation. 3 -
Introductory Introduction: It is the introduction that comes in the form of a
question or several The questions and goal are to stimulate the reader's
curiosity by instinct curiosity. 4 - descriptive introduction: It is the
introduction, which depends on the description of places or events or the movement
of people who make the event so that it tries to provide a description of the
revelation of the magnitude of what happened in order to raise the emotions and
emotions of the reader. This type of introductions therefore fits the topics of
accidents and trials Concerts, matches, festivals and exhibitions. 5 -
Introduction of the single element: the introduction, which is biased to one of
the elements or aspects of the subject of the investigation and highlight an
attempt to highlight it and increase the attention of readers 6 - Introduction
dialogue: a introduction that includes a dialogue that attracts the attention
of readers, and invites them to follow up the press investigation. 7 -

directly by talking as if it was happening close. 8- Introduction Contrast: It
is the introduction that is based on contradicting or contradicting facts and
linking the paradoxes either by combining past and present or between black and
white. 9 - Explanatory Introduction: It is the introduction that tries to
explain and clarify the importance of the issue or problem or idea of the
subject of the investigation in an attempt to make the reader seriously
consider this subject. Templates writing press investigation There are a number
of templates used in the formulation of the investigative report, and these
templates are nothing more than theoretical models taken and extracted from the
creation of journalists and researchers, and therefore nothing more than a
guide to the journalist who is preparing a particular press investigation. Dr.
Farouk Abu Zeid has identified three main art forms for writing the press
investigation, all of which are based on the technical construction of the
moderate pyramid. These templates can be displayed as follows: (14) First: -
Moderate pyramid mold built on the objective presentation: The editor presents
in this template objectively the issue or problem dealt with in the
investigation through an introduction in which he is keen to raise the interest
of readers in the subject may take several forms of this introduction, such as
the editor focus on the corner of the subject of the investigation, while in
the body of the investigation the rest of the corners of the subject in detail
and concludes the conclusion Submission of a summary of the views, perceptions
or solutions of the editor to the issue or problem addressed by the press
investigation. The introduction may take the form of a quick summary of all the
angles of the subject. The most prominent forms taken by this template is based
on the editor to ask a set of questions or questions that interest the reader
of the subject and then answer every question or question in the body of the
investigation. Second: Template Description: The introduction provides a
description of a quick overview of the event or describes a prominent part of
it, while the detailed description is left in the investigative body. The
conclusion either links the scattered details of the event image or is limited
to the editor's recent impressions of the event. This template is one of the
most common forms of investigative journalism and the closest to the press art,
where the author presents his subject through direct description and is a
description of trips and countries different from the most important
journalistic topics that fit this template and uses this template in the
investigations of sports competitions or parliamentary debates Or celebrations,
festivals or meetings and electoral symposia. Third: Template Story: It is
similar to the literary or fictional story in its artistic construction to a
large extent, which has a beginning, a knots and an end, where the editor to write
the investigative report in the form of a story through an introduction to
surprise or wonder,
the beginning of the story and then sequenced to
the end, but this story is realistic and On the real facts while the literary
story is based on fantasy and fiction. Other templates in writing the press
investigation: There are some other templates used by some editors to write
their own journalistic investigations. 1 - Template recognition: a template
used in investigations that depend On the confessions of a particular
perpetrator or spy or recognized. This template takes the form of recognition
either on the tongue of the confessor or through the editor's point of view
This type of investigation depends on honesty and honesty in the transmission
of phrases, as well as psychological and psychological imagery. 2 - Template
talk: a template that depends on a series of direct dialogues with a number of
specialists in the subject of investigation. This template is one of the most
important press templates and is more common. The success of this template
depends on the ability of the journalist to create a kind of emotional
involvement between him and the speaker. The speaker is not the journalist
himself, but the reader is eagerly looking forward to the source and not the
interview. Conclusion of the investigation It represents the end of the
investigation and provides the editor of the investigation in brief and focus
the results of the investigation results are solutions, answers or suggestions.
Photos in the press investigation The importance
of the image in the press investigation plays an important role in achieving
the goals of the press in this era, which is known as the era of the image
civilization. A new visual language is emerging as a result of technological
progress in the means of communication. In addition, the increasing interest of
people and the sense of value of the image has increased significantly during
the recent period as a result of the spread of the use of images, especially
animation, the proliferation of magazines and comic books and the prosperity of
the art of printing, as well as the emergence of television and provides
cinematic art and provides access to images and news images from around the
world, We find that the reader in these days can not be satisfied with a mere
verbal description of an event or meeting or position, but would like to see
these things in particular (15). The picture is one of the most important
elements of contemporary journalism investigation, mainly because of the
following considerations: 1 - The ability of the image by modern technology to
transmit the media message in the fastest time and in the easiest way. 2 - the
ability of the image to increase the effectiveness of the investigative report
by giving more credibility and documentation and clarity of the written text. 3
- the importance of the image as an aesthetic value and an indispensable
element of output. In order for the images used in the press investigation to
succeed, the following considerations should be taken into account: 1- To be
consistent in form and substance with the text of the press investigation. 2-
To cover the different aspects of the subject posed by the press investigation.
3. The photographs of the investigative report should reflect what is important
in the substantive reality. 4 - There should be a variety of images used in
terms of form, content and values reflected by these images. 5. To view these
images as an integral part of the investigation in order to increase the
effectiveness of the investigation and the likelihood of its success. 6. Add
new information and facts to the subject. Basic conditions in the investigative
report: There are a number of conditions that must be taken into account to
ensure the success of the press investigation, including the following: 1 -
Choosing the idea of investigative journalism, which occupies the minds of
the public because the success of the investigation depends on the extent of
public opinion to respond to the subject of the investigation. 2. Choosing the
appropriate timing for publication of the investigative report. The examination
of the examination systems or their conditions will be successful if published
before or during the exams, but not after the completion of the examinations
for a long time. 3. The author of the investigation or
"investigation" should reach practical solutions at the end of his
investigation, presenting them as a remedy for his research in the
investigative report. 4. Balance: This requirement is inseparable from the
requirement of objectivity in which there is differentiation Article on the
article of opinion. The balance in its first meaning is supposed to allow more
than one opposing view to expose itself and a conflicting meaning that is certainly
different from a multi-meaning meaning that the conflict is different, whereas
the meaning of diversity does not imply the element of difference. 5.
Proportionality: Meaning the appropriate size for each of the three parts For
the investigative report, the introduction does not exceed, for example, the
details or the nature of the investigation. 6. The article should not be
sufficient to convince the reader of the importance of the subject raised by
the investigation. 7 - Care to keep the attention of the reader until the end
of the investigation. 8 - The editor should be careful to create a distinct
method for writing the investigative report, and this method, although
different from the method of writing the news, but it remains a journalistic method,
which combines the characteristics of the public press style in terms of
accuracy, objectivity, simplicity, ease and clarity and suspense. 9 - The
editor should be keen to enrich the investigation written by the outcome of his
culture and readings, experiences and experiences in life, and information
obtained on the subject from different sources. References (1) Dr. Ibrahim
